Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom

E1 Fridge sensor failure High Refrigerator compartment temperatures swing several degrees above or below the set point, causing food to be too warm or freeze unexpectedly. View E2 Freezer sensor failure High Frozen food softens or partially thaws as the freezer compartment climbs above 0°F (-18°C) without correction. View E3 Defrost system fault Medium A thick layer of ice forms on the evaporator coils visible when the freezer back panel is removed, restricting airflow and cooling performance. View E4 Evaporator fan failure High Both the refrigerator and freezer compartments feel warmer than set temperatures even though you can hear the compressor operating. View E5 Condenser fan fault High The compressor cycles off on thermal overload protection after running briefly because it cannot shed heat without the condenser fan. View E6 Ice maker fault Low The ice maker no longer produces ice cubes, and the ice bin remains empty or at its last level. View FF Freezer fan fault High The freezer compartment warms up noticeably despite the compressor operating, indicating air is not being moved through the evaporator coils.
