Dacor Microwave Repair

Restoring Dacor microwave precision — magnetron, inverter, and control faults repaired with OEM components by trained technicians.

Appliance Repair Guide

What's Included

  • Magnetron output power measurement and replacement
  • Inverter board and high-voltage circuit service
  • Drawer mechanism and slide rail repair (DMW models)
  • Convection element and fan service (DMR models)
  • Touch control and door switch assembly repair
  • Post-repair power output and safety interlock verification

Dacor microwaves are luxury built-in appliances, not countertop units. The DMW2420 drawer microwave integrates flush into cabinetry with a motor-driven slide mechanism, the DMR30 adds convection capability for true combination cooking, and the DCM24 pairs microwave with a second oven cavity in a single column unit. When any of these stops heating or displays a fault code, specialised knowledge and OEM parts are required — generic microwave repair services are not equipped to handle this complexity.

Common Dacor Microwave Problems We Fix

  • Microwave not heating despite running and turntable spinning
  • Drawer not opening or closing smoothly (DMW models)
  • Convection element not heating in combination mode (DMR models)
  • Display blank or showing fault codes
  • Door not latching or interlock switch faults
  • Arcing or sparking inside the cavity

Error Codes We Diagnose

Dacor microwave fault codes include F1 (control board communication fault), F2 (thermal cutout tripped), F3 (door interlock fault), F5 (inverter board fault on inverter models), and drawer motor fault codes specific to the DMW2420. High-voltage circuits are tested with purpose-built safety equipment — microwave high-voltage diagnosis is not a DIY task and should always be performed by a trained technician.

Models We Service

  • DMW2420 — Modernist built-in drawer microwave
  • DMR30 — Modernist convection microwave
  • DCM24 — Combination microwave and oven column unit
  • DOC30 and DOC36 — Modernist combination wall units

Drawer Microwave Expertise

The DMW2420 drawer mechanism is a precision electromechanical assembly that combines a DC drive motor, rack-and-pinion slide, and electronic position sensors. When the drawer hesitates, jams, or refuses to open, the fault is usually in the drive motor, sensor alignment, or the slide rail lubrication — not the microwave electronics. We carry DMW-specific drawer components in our service van and have the calibration documentation to reset the drawer position sensor after replacement.

  • Diagnostic — High-voltage circuit test, magnetron output check, control board scan.
  • Estimate — Fixed-price estimate approved before parts are fitted.
  • Repair — OEM magnetron, inverter board, or drawer assembly installed.
  • Warranty — Parts and labour warranty issued on completion.
  • Transparent Pricing

Dacor microwave repair starts from a flat diagnostic fee. High-voltage component replacements are fixed-price.
