Common Symptom
FAN-FAIL
Blower motor not running
High
Turning the fan to any speed produces little or no airflow at the hood opening. Cooking smoke and steam rise past the hood unimpeded. Holding a tissue near the hood intake confirms minimal suction.
View
FAN-NOISE
Abnormal blower noise
Medium
A rhythmic or irregular rattling sound originates from inside the hood housing when the fan is running. The noise may increase with fan speed. This is the most common noise complaint on Dacor wall-mount hoods.
View
NO-LIGHT
Hood lights not working
Low
Activating the hood light control — whether a touch button or physical switch — does not turn on any of the LED or halogen lamps beneath the hood. The cooking surface remains dark.
View
NO-POWER
Hood has no power
Medium
Pressing any button or switch on the range hood produces no response at all. The fan does not start, the lights do not activate, and any LED indicator on the control panel remains dark.
View
SWITCH-FAIL
Control switch unresponsive
Medium
Pressing a fan speed button or rotating a speed control switch does not change the fan speed or activate the blower. The hood may be running at a fixed speed or may not respond at all to that specific control.
View
VENT-BLOCK
Ductwork blocked or restricted
Medium
The blower is audibly running and producing normal noise, but cooking smoke and steam accumulate in the kitchen instead of being drawn into the hood. The fan is working but air has nowhere to go.
